LOCAL CHIROPRACTOR IN Tarro
Many of the Tarro residents who come to see us haven’t had an accident or a sudden injury. Instead, it’s a stiff lower back that’s been there for a few years, shoulders that don’t move the way they used to, or a hip that aches more on cold mornings. These gradual changes can be just as disruptive as an acute injury, even though they build slowly enough that it’s tempting to write them off as a normal part of getting older. Dr Adam Arnold has spent more than 30 years working with patients experiencing exactly this kind of long-building discomfort, and is dual-certified in Zone Technique and Quantum Neurology, two approaches that look beyond the sore spot to how your whole body is functioning. If you’ve been putting off doing something about stiffness or mobility changes, we’d like to help you take the first step.
MEET DR. ADAM ARNOLD
Dr Adam Arnold has practised chiropractic care for more than 30 years, working with patients across Newcastle and Lake Macquarie to help them move and feel better. He holds dual certification in Zone Technique, a gentle, whole-body approach to chiropractic adjustment, and Quantum Neurology, a system of functional assessments used to support understanding of the nervous system’s communication with the rest of the body. Dr Arnold’s approach centres on understanding each patient’s individual history and goals rather than applying a one-size-fits-all treatment plan, and he is committed to honest, realistic conversations about what chiropractic care can and can’t do for any given person.

Focused on spinal assessment, alignment, and musculoskeletal support.

A neurological assessment framework that evaluates nervous system function and communication.

A structured approach that assesses and supports the body’s six physiological systems.
OUR APPROACH

Zone Technique is a gentle, whole-body chiropractic method that looks at how different systems in the body are communicating with one another, rather than focusing on a single sore joint in isolation. For Tarro patients dealing with stiffness that seems to show up in more than one area, this broader approach can help identify patterns that a narrower treatment might miss. As with all chiropractic care, individual results vary and can’t be guaranteed.

Quantum Neurology is a set of functional neurological assessments that Dr Arnold uses to better understand how the nervous system is coordinating movement, balance, and sensation. It’s a valuable part of building a fuller picture for Tarro patients, particularly those noticing changes in coordination or mobility with age. It’s important to note that Quantum Neurology is not a diagnostic tool, and Dr Arnold is a chiropractor, not a neurologist — where a neurological condition is suspected, we’ll always recommend you also see your GP or an appropriate specialist.

Alongside Zone Technique and Quantum Neurology, Dr Arnold also draws on traditional chiropractic adjustment techniques where appropriate, tailored to each patient’s comfort, mobility, and health history. For Tarro residents who prefer a more conventional approach, or whose circumstances call for it, this remains a core part of the care we offer.

Quick answers to common questions.
Yes. Many patients we see from Tarro haven’t had an accident or specific injury — their discomfort has built up gradually over months or years. Dr Arnold’s assessment looks at how your whole body is moving and functioning, not just the area that’s bothering you most, so gradual stiffness and reduced mobility are common reasons people come to see us. As with any care, we can’t guarantee specific results, but we can offer an honest assessment of whether chiropractic care is likely to help.
We regularly see older patients, including many long-term Tarro residents, and Dr Arnold adjusts his techniques to suit each person’s age, health history, and comfort level. Zone Technique in particular is a gentle approach that doesn’t rely on forceful adjustments. We’ll always talk through your health history first, and if something is outside the scope of chiropractic care, we’ll recommend you see your GP.
Yes, we see DVA Gold Card holders and eligible White Card holders under Department of Veterans’ Affairs arrangements. If you’re a veteran living in Tarro and are unsure whether your card covers chiropractic care, our DVA funding guide explains how it works, or you’re welcome to call our Charlestown practice directly.
We’re based in Charlestown, around 20km from Tarro via the Pacific Highway, New England Highway, Newcastle Link Road and Sandgate Road. Travel time will vary with traffic, but free two-hour parking at Hilltop Plaza and Charlestown Square makes the trip straightforward once you arrive.
Your first visit starts with a thorough discussion of your health history and current concerns, followed by a physical and functional assessment — which may include Quantum Neurology-based testing — so Dr Arnold can build a clear picture of what’s going on before recommending a plan. Many new patients start with our $99 New Patient Experience, which includes a consultation, examination, and report of findings.
Poor posture and ongoing discomfort can affect sleep quality for some people, and it’s a common concern we hear from patients, including those in Tarro. We assess how posture and movement patterns may be contributing to your symptoms as part of a broader assessment. Results vary from person to person and can’t be guaranteed, but it’s something we’re happy to discuss at your first visit.
